Nintendo Says They Will Discuss Upcoming Switch Games Lineup “At The Appropriate Time”

Although Nintendo saw quite a bit of success the past year with the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the company has shared little to no updates about their plans for future games, both new and previously announced.

During their recent financial results briefing, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa addressed a question about what the company’s software lineup might look like in the next fiscal year, to which he responded as follows:

Our software lineup for next fiscal year is a topic we will discuss at the appropriate time. We have already announced our plans to release Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury in February, followed by MONSTER HUNTER RISE in March (see note 1), and New Pokémon Snap in April (see note 2). As always, we are preparing a variety of software titles for consumers in the coming fiscal year.

Furukawa’s response seems well in-line with Nintendo’s recent approach to their first-party game announcements, where they only reveal the game’s existence when its just a few months away from release. We will be sure to keep an eye out for any such reveals in the future, and bring more details as they come.
