Nintendo Switch And 3DS See Impressive Sales In December 2017

Nintendo of America has announced another wave of good news for Switch and 3DS sales in the United States.

According to NPD group, which tracks sales in the US, 1.5 million Nintendo Switch consoles were moved during the crucial holiday season that lasted from December 1 to 31, 2017.

Nintendo 3DS saw its best sales month since December 2014 in December 2017, having sold more than 750,000 consoles. This is a 27% increase over the same period a year ago. Now, over 21 million Nintendo 3DS systems have been sold in the US alone. Around 350,000 units of the Super NES Classic Edition were delivered into the hands of customers.

Nintendo games sold well during the holiday season, with Super Mario Odyssey at number 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at No. 4, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at No. 9 and Splatoon 2 at No. 16. Additionally, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon for Nintendo 3DS finished No. 13 and No. 14, respectively.
