Nintendo Switch Crosses 52.8 Million Units Sold Worldwide, Overtakes SNES Lifetime Sales

Nintendo has updated the lifetime sales figures for the Nintendo Switch family of consoles, including the regular Switch and the Switch-Lite.

As of 31st December 2019, the Switch’s lifetime sales have exceeded 52.8 million units. Of these, 47.3 million were for the regular Switch, while 5.19 million were for the Switch-Lite. Notably, this means that the Switch has outsold the SNES, which achieved sales of 49.1 million units in its lifetime.

  • Switch Lite sales during the last quarter: 3.24 million
  • General Switch sales during the last quarter: 10.81 million
