The Nintendo Switch uses a custom Tegra chip that is manufactured by Nvidia. With the explosive sales of Switch, one would think that Nvidia is also benefiting big time from it. Someone just had to do the calculations.

In a calculative analysis by The Motley Fool, 18% of Nvidia’s gaming revenue could be due to the Nintendo Switch. The Tegra business itself makes about $1.58 billion in fiscal year 2018, with the Switch and the Automotive segment being its largest clients. With the Automotive segment only generating $558 million, the other $972 million goes to the Tegra’s gaming segment, with Nintendo being its biggest client.

Nvidia does produce their own Tegra based gadgets such as the Nvidia Shield, but with Switch selling in the millions, it represents an integral part of the Tegra lineup.
