Nintendo Switch And Nintendo 3DS Enjoy Another Week Of Splendid Sales In Japan

Media Create, which tracks video game hardware and software sales in Japan, has released last week’s figures.

Leading the software charts is none other than Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (3DS) at 168,978 copies sold. This is a 75% drop off from the previous week Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon launched in Japan.

Coming in at second place is Super Mario Odyssey (Switch) at 77,751 copies, bringing the total lifetime units sold to 792,059 copies. Other noteworthy mentions include Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo (3DS), which seen a 214% bump in sales (10,806 copies) on the week of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s launch on smart devices.

As for the hardware side of things, Nintendo Switch continues to reign the hardware charts, moving 145,200 systems last week, which indicates a larger than usual shipment. The Nintendo 3DS family comes in at second place with 34,886 units.
