Nintendo Switch Systems Made In 2018 Have Warmer Screens And Better Wi-Fi Strength

Japanese users who purchased a Nintendo Switch in 2017 and a second Nintendo Switch in 2018 have noticed differences between the two.

The first major difference is the screen. Users realized that the systems they’ve purchased in 2017 have a cooler (bluer) screen, while the systems purchased in 2018 have a warmer (yellower) tint.

The reason behind the change is because the LCD screens for the Switch launch were manufactured by JDI (Japan Display), but now Taiwanese companies Innolux and AU Optronics have taken over JDI’s role.

A less obvious difference has also been spotted – Wi-Fi strength. Users say that the second system they purchase have exceptional Wi-Fi strength, as compared to the system purchased at launch.

For those of you who own two or more Nintendo Switch systems, have you noticed these differences? Let us know in the comments.
