A couple of hours ago, Nintendo announced that they would be introducing Save Data Cloud Backup to Nintendo Switch Online members when the service officially launches this September.
Cloud Saves have been a highly requested feature since the launch of Nintendo Switch last year, as save data cannot be recovered in the event someone loses their Nintendo Switch or the console is damaged.
The official Japanese Nintendo Switch Online website has pointed out something not mentioned on Nintendo of America’s website – not all Nintendo Switch games will be able to take advantage of the Cloud Saves feature. It’s unclear which titles won’t be eligible at this point of time, but we believe the upcoming Pokemon game for Switch may be one of them as players may misuse it to clone Pokemon.
