Recently, Eurogamer managed to get the opportunity to get an interview with the developers of OliOli: Switch Stance!
In the interview, the developers mention the possibility of them revisiting the franchise for a third game with the recent game on Nintendo Switch being a collection of the 2.
Check it out below:
Co-founder John Ribbins: “…So it’s been awesome that millions of people have played it, the biggest bit of feedback is that it’s quite hard. The goal is to get more people to play it and not feel shit at it. If we did another one, it’d end up where OlliOlli 2 ends, but the journey there would be longer and more people would be prepared for that journey in the end. When we finished OlliOlli 2 we were like, no more skating games ever,” says John. “But then things percolate over time…”
And that sounds very much like they’ve got unfinished business with the game that made their name.
Co-founder Simon Bennett: “Yeah – watch this space. We had an amazing time with Laser League, and were super happy with what we did there. But the skating hasn’t gone away, we’re still invested in that area. We needed a break, but we’re ready to look at it again. You’ve got to be excited about these things, because it’s such a commitment.”
If we have any more information to share we will cover it here at NintendoSoup so stay tuned for more!
