During Reboot Develop 2018, Platinum Games’ Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya asked attendees whether they’d like to see Wii U exclusive The Wonderful 101 on Nintendo Switch.
Kamiya told the audience through a translator that Platinum Games is still trying to negotiate with Nintendo whether releasing The Wonderful 101 on Switch would be possible, and asked the audience to clap if they’d like it to happen.
And the whole room clapped.
Following up on the talk, here’s what Platinum Games co-founder Atsushi Inaba had to say about how far discussions with Nintendo have progressed.
“From their perspective obviously there are things they can’t talk about, about dealings they have with Nintendo. Certainly they can say everything they said during the speech, which was, ‘Hey, we should do that.’ But whether that is a ‘we are going to do that’, and what the likelihood is of that happening, is just going to have to be something you wait to find out.”
