Pokemon Detective Pikachu, the first ever live action Pokemon movie, premiered in Japan on May 3, 2019.

Now we have our first details on how the movie has fared in the homeland of Pokemon. From May 4 to May 5, 2019, Pokemon Detective Pikachu debuted at No. 3 at the box office, just below Detective Conan at No. 1 and Avengers Endgame at No. 2.

It seems like a good start for Pokemon Detective Pikachu, and we’ll see whether it’ll be able to maintain its spot on the top 10 in the coming weeks.
