Pokemon GO Fest 2021 Earned $21 Million In Two Days, With 1.5 Billion Pokemon Caught In Total

Earlier this week, Pokemon GO players got to roam around and about with the latest Pokemon Go Fest 2021 event. Well, the numbers are now in, and the event has turned out to be quite the explosive highlight this year!

According to analytics firm Sensor Tower, Pokemon GO managed to rake in a whopping $21 million USD (or £15.4 million) over the weekend that the ticketed event took place. This is on top of the game’s total lifetime revenue of $5 billion USD, which it recently achieved this year.

Additionally, Niantic recorded the following achievements during the event:

  • Trainers caught over 1.5 billion Pokémon.
  • Trainers spun over 900 million PokéStops.
  • Trainers completed over 23 million raids.
  • Trainers collectively walked over 125 million kilometers.

It certainly looks like the yearly event hasn’t lost steam at all. We’ll report back as we hear more about the game in the future!
