It looks like Pokemon GO is far from hitting the mobile game graveyard, thanks to a recent boost in revenue.
According to the analysts at SuperData, the Pokemon spin-off title grossed around $176 million USD in August 2019 alone – its strongest month since it first launched in 2016. This also means that it was the top-grossing mobile game of August, beating even giants like Fate/Grand Order.

It’s not entirely clear how the game leaped up so quickly last month. However, much of this success could be attributed to many in-game events like the Water Festival, returning raid battles, and much more.
In any case, the game definitely has a bright future ahead. We’ll report back on the game as we hear more.
