Pokemon GO’s Team Rocket Takes Over Various Pokestops In New York City

As part of Team Rocket’s big debut in Pokemon GO, a small real-life event dedicated to the evil team is being held right now in New York City.

As announced on Twitter and on Facebook, Team Rocket has taken over a large number of Pokestops in New York City. Players in that area have been tasked with liberating the Pokestops from Team Rocket’s control and defeat as many Grunts as they can. It is not known if there will be any special rewards relating to this event.

Hilariously, the official Facebook for Pokemon GO teased this event with photos of “real-life” Team Rocket Grunts visiting New York which you can find below:
