Players have found a bug that allows them to bring Pokemon in Pokemon Home not available in Pokemon Sword and Shield to Pokemon Sword/Shield.
The bug occurs in the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Home. This happens when the player moves Pokemon to the right section of the screen (Pokemon Sword/Shield) and then places Pokemon not available in Pokemon Sword/Shield into the left section of the screen (Pokemon Home). The software somehow gets confused and the Pokemon that are not available in Pokemon Sword and Shield end up in the Pokemon Sword and Shield boxes.
Here’s a video demonstrating that”
Surprisingly, the Pokemon do work in Pokemon Sword and Shield – they could level up and learn moves even though they are not in the Pokedex. That said, they lack 3D models and sprites in the game:
Please keep in mind that this bug could be patched anytime, so perform this at your own risk.
