Pokemon HOME Launches February 2020, Free And Premium Plans Detailed

The Pokemon Company has announced the first details for Pokemon Home, the all-new cloud service that will allow players to transfer their Pokemon from the 3DS games to Nintendo Switch.

First, we learned that the service is scheduled to launch in February 2020, although no exact date was given.

Next, we now know that there are currently two plans – Free Plan and Premium Plan. Free Plan allows players to keep up to 30 Pokemon, while Premium allows players to keep up to 6000 Pokemon. However, the Free Plan will not allow players to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Bank on Nintendo 3DS to Pokemon Home, whereas the Premium Plan does.

While both the Free Plan and Premium Plan allow players to use the Miracle Box and GTS, the Free Plan allows players to put up to 3 Pokemon and 1 Pokemon in one shot for Miracle Box and GTS respectively, while the Premium Plan lets them put up to 10 Pokemon and 3 Pokemon in one shot for Miracle Box and GTS respectively.

All players could participate in Group Trades, but only Premium Plan players could host a Group Trade. The Appraisal feature, which lets you take a look at a Pokemon’s IVs, is exclusive to the Premium Plan.

And now here’s how much the Premium Plan will cost. 1 month will cost 370 yen (about USD3), 3 months will cost 610 yen (about USD6), and 12 months will cost 1960 yen (about USD20).

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks, Brandon.
