Earlier today, the Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword And Shield was released, allowing players to encounter many past legendaries through the Dynamax Adventures feature.
Since then, players have discovered a very useful feature of Dynamax Adventures. Once players have encountered a particular Legendary Pokemon at the end of a Dynamax Adventure, they will be able to set out and re-challenge that Legendary Pokemon by selecting it from a list when starting an adventure.
Of course, this feature will only be accessible if you did not catch the Legendary Pokemon after your first encounter, since only one of each Legendary can be caught per game.
You can see a bit of how this feature works in action below:
Wow! After you've encountered a Legendary Pokémon in a Dynamax Adventure, you can easily redo the path and challenge it again! It's as simple as selecting the Legendary from a list! This will be so helpful for shiny hunting!#PokémonSwordShield #CrownTundra #ShinyPokémon pic.twitter.com/pgEuEJcu07

As stated in the above post, this feature will be quite useful for Shiny Hunting without having to rely on RNG to encounter the desired Legendary Pokemon.
