Japan is going to get an HD remake for Level-5’s 2007 Nintendo DS puzzle game, Professor Layton and the Curious Village.

According to the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, Level-5 intends to release the HD remake on mobile platforms, under the name Professor Layton and the Curious Village EXHD. No release date was mentioned, neither was any plans for a Western release of the remake.

With Layton’s Mystery Journey coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. One can only hope that the HD remake will somehow find its way to the Switch too.
