Publisher: Nintendo Forces Everyone To Sell Switch Physical Releases At A Minimum Of USD29.99

Special Reserve Games, a publisher that releases limited edition Nintendo Switch physical releases, has revealed a policy Nintendo enforces on all third party publishers.

According to Special Reserve Games, companies who wish to sell physical version of their games must price their physical version at a suggested retail price of USD29.99. This rule applies to all games, whether or not they cost less than USD29.99 on the Nintendo eShop.

Thus, this should explain to many collectors and gamers why certain physical versions of Nintendo Switch games are pricier than their digital versions. Special Reserve Games also mentioned that some publishers justify the price by including extra goodies, but of course not everyone does this.
