The Japanese Internet has gone crazy over a strange revelation – Mimikyu has existed way before Pokemon Sun and Moon were released.

Here is the image that sent Pokemon fans in Japan into a frenzy:

This Pikachu plush, released for Halloween at least a decade ago, features Pikachu with white cloth over it. As you can see, the white cloth has three black spots and two red circles, making it seem like Pikachu is cosplaying as a ghost for Halloween.

And guess what that costume looks like that? Mimikyu.

And if you were unaware, Mimikyu has always been wearing a “cloth” to make itself look like Pikachu, since it wants everyone to love Mimikyu..
