Earlier this month, The Pokemon Company and Oreo officially launched a series of collaboration cookies with Pokemon designs, which will only be sold for a limited time.
Since then, reports have surfaced of people attempting to re-sell the limited edition Pokemon Oreos for exorbitant prices on auction sites like eBay, not unlike what has been happening with Pokemon cards. This includes selling the full packs of limited Pokemon Oreos for hundreds of dollars, to selling the singular “rare” Mew cookie for similarly absurd prices:
That said, at the time of this writing, it is unknown how many of these listings are actually legitimate attempts to flip the Oreos for cash, or just jokes or trolls making fun of the idea. After all, unlike cards, Oreo cookies have a limited shelf life, and you’re probably better off just eating them.
