Random: Sakurai Can Be Less Worried About What He Shares On Social Media Now That Smash’s DLC Is Finished

Last week, Nintendo released the final DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, finally bringing a close to both its DLC volumes, which started all the way back in December 2018 with the announcement of Persona 5‘s Joker.

Pretty much since the game was first announced, the game’s director Masahiro Sakurai has had to exercise extra care about what he talks about on social media, having expressed worries in the past that fans could misinterpret his posts to be hints at potential new fighters.

However, now that Smash Ultimate’s DLC is definitively finished, he no longer has to worry as much about fanning the flames about such speculation. In celebration of this newfound freedom, he posted a picture of his cat with an Among Us toy, saying that posting such images are “no longer a problem” since it wouldn’t arouse suspicion that a new character is joining Smash as DLC.
