Random: What If Pokemon Sword/Shield’s Opening Cutscene Had Voice Acting?

It’s no secret that the Pokemon games usually keep their human characters unvoiced and silent, in contrast to Pokemon having individualized cries. Nowhere is this more evident than in the recent Pokemon Sword/Shield, where cinematic cutscenes still feature characters miming quietly. Well, it looks like some folks have decided to take a stab at addressing that!

In particular, Nintendo Enthusiast took it upon themselves to dub in their own voices for the game’s opening cutscene – where Chairman Rose addresses a stadium crowd. There’s even a dash of humorous background banter, to further liven up the audience that Rose talks to!

Check it out for yourself below (warning: minor crude language):

If you need a comparison, here is the original (unedited) opening cutscene with Chairman Rose (starts at 0:34).

Now, it’s not the best attempt out there (kudos to them for giving us a laugh, though) – but it definitely makes us wonder what an official dub from Game Freak or The Pokemon Company would sound like. We’ll just have to hope that the developers consider adding some in future Pokemon titles, if we ever want to find out.

What do YOU think? Would you like voiced cutscenes in future Pokemon titles, or would they be too jarring for you? Feel free to discuss your thoughts below!
