Reminder: Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario Bros. 35, And More Being Removed After March 31st

On this day March 31st, Nintendo will be discontinuing several products and games they released to celebrate Mario’s 35th Anniversary.

For many fans, the two most critical removals are Super Mario Bros. 35 and the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection. In the case of the Super Mario Bros. 35 battle royale, the game itself will be shut down and will no longer be playable after the cut-off date. For the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection, physical copies will be discontinued and the title will be removed from the eshop. Players who purchased a copy will still be able to play or redownload the game, but nobody else will be able to get their hands on it.

Apart from Mario’s games, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the first official English release of the original Fire Emblem on Switch will also be discontinued after this date. Similarly, the digital version will no longer be available for download, while physical editions will be of limited supply.

At the time of this writing, it is unclear if any of these limited products will one day make their return somewhere down the line. We will be sure to report back with more details as they come.
