Ahead of Nintendo’s big E3 Direct, a fairly credible leaker has dropped a big hint at who the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate could be.

Earlier this week, Resetera admin Shinobi602 shared the following post in a thread discussing Exquisite Gaming’s recently revealed Banjo-Kazooie figure.

Been a while since we saw Banjo in anything. Hope we’re in for a smashing good time.

The comment quite clearly hints that Banjo and Kazooie are headed to Smash, which sent Resetera users into a frenzy. Shinobi602 has had a decent track record of leaking insider information in the gaming scene, having been credited for the following leaks:

• God of War’s Norse mythology setting a few months before it was known.

• Information about Mass Effect: Andromeda

• Confirmed that the new Call of Duty 2017 would happen during he Second World War.

• Leaked Gears of War 4 and had information about it.

• Leaked Destiny 2 and information about it.

• Information about Spirderman (PS4)

• Ridley in Ultimate

• Some info on The Last of Us 2

• Some info on Knack 2.

As with all leaks of this nature, we caution readers to take this rumor with a grain of salt.  That said, so far things seem to be lining up quite nicely for a Banjo-Kazooie related announcement, combining this new “leak” with their new backpack design. With E3 just around the corner, we will likely get some confirmation one way or another pretty soon.
