Rumor: Dataminer Discovers Fall Guys On Steam Has Switch SDK Support

Earlier this month, Devolver Digital and developer Mediatonic released Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, a battle royale party game inspired by obstacle course game shows like Takeshi’s Castle and Wipeout.

Due to its hilarious and addictive gameplay, Fall Guys has quickly become a smash hit with many players. Although its currently only on PC and PS4, developer Mediatonic has expressed interest in bringing the game to other platforms such as the Switch and Xbox according to their website’s FAQ.

Recently, dataminer OatmealDome discovered evidence suggesting that a Switch version might just be on its way. Within the files of the Steam version of Fall Guys is a plugin to help the game run on Switch, as explained in the Tweet below:

As mentioned, just because the plugin is present does not necessarily mean it will be coming to Switch. Although OatmealDome has ruled out the possibility that the plugin is just there to support the Switch Pro Controller on Steam, the dataminer also suggests that Mediatonic could have just left it in on accident.

In any case, without any official word from Nintendo, this is all just speculation. We will be sure to bring more updates on the situation as they come.
