Rumor: Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Website Hints At Voiceovers Being Added

Last month, Square-Enix finally announced that Final Fantasy VIII would be getting its own Remastered version for the Nintendo Switch.

Today, we have an interesting rumor about a possible new feature that may be included in this new version of the game. As shared on Neogaf’s forums, a short line in the source code of the official website for Final Fantasy VIII Remastered  appears to suggest that the game will include both English and Japanese voiceovers.

FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered is an RPG, available in English and Japanese voiceover, and is also text localized into French, Italian, German and Spanish.

For those who may not have been aware, the original Final Fantasy VIII did not have any voiceover for its dialogue in English or in Japanese, making this information quite a big deal if true. That said, its still possible that this info is outdated or inaccurate, and we will likely have to wait for official confirmation from Square Enix before getting too excited about the idea.
