Rumor – Techland Bringing Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger To Switch

Previously, we reported that although developer Techland currently has no plans to bring Dying light 2 to Switch, they might have some other surprises in store for the console.

According to Polish news site Graczpospolita.pl, that surprise is Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger, a Western-themed first person shooter originally released in 2013. Back in October, Graczpospolita previously spoke to a source close to Techland that said “something is happening” with the Call Of Juarez series, which was later confirmed by other sources that it is a Switch port of the fourth game Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger.

In 2018, Techland regained the rights to the CoJ brand , which Ubisoft had previously owned. The social media of the series revived and, oddly enough, only Gunslinger entries appeared . It took several months and I managed to confirm in several sources related to Techland that the home studio is working on the Call of Juarez port : Gunslinger on Nintendo Switch .

However, when Graczpospolita went directly to Techland for confirmation, the developer neither confirmed nor denied the existence of the port. That said, Techland did confirm that they were working on a switch game to be announced later this year.

I decided to officially ask at the source. I asked them to confirm or deny the possible versions on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, whether it is a remake or remaster and the release date. I did not receive any answers, however Techland confirmed that they are working on some Switch game.

” Techland always listens very closely to its fans. We know that many of them would like to see our productions on the Nintendo Switch. We decided to take up this challenge and later this year we will tell you about the surprise that awaits the players. More, however, I can not betray. “- Paweł Rohleder, Chief Technology Officer at Techland explains to the blog.

As with all rumors of this nature, we caution Nintendosoup readers to take these claims with a grain of salt. We will be monitoring this story and bring more details as they come.
