SEGA Plans To Continue Releasing More Retro Content In The Future

From Sonic Mania to the Genesis Mini, SEGA has been releasing a considerable amount of retro content over the past few years, with little signs of stopping anytime soon.

With SEGA constantly churning out these retro releases, some might wonder if fans will eventually get tired of the company relying so heavily on them.

Speaking to Gamesindustry, SEGA’s Executive Vice President of Publishing John Clark defended SEGA’s approach to its retro catalog. According to Clark, the company believes that there will always be “an audience” for the these titles, and that SEGA will continue to provide the retro content they crave moving forward.

“When do you ever stop reaching the audience? There’s always an audience there on one format or another. We’ve got great content and we’re never going to saturate the audience for all of that retro content, so I think we’re going to continue to bring it out as broad and wide as possible.”
