Earlier, Nintendo announced that a new free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons would be going live on 28 January 2021. Aside from adding a new Festivale event, here are some other new goodies heading to players in the near future!

Nintendo has released a brief preview of new seasonal items that will be added with the free update. First up – to celebrate the Japanese tradition of Setsubun, the Bean-Tossing Kit will be available until February 3, and the Ogre costume will appear at Able Sisters starting on February 1.

Two new Valentine’s Day items will be available from February 1 to February 14 as well. These are the Chocolate Heart & Rose Bouquet Heart (rough translations).

In addition to this, a Cheering Megaphone & American Football Rug (rough translations) will be available for purchase from January 15 to February 15 to celebrate the Super Bowl season in the west.

Next up, a “Groundhog Model” (rough translation) of Resetti will be available from January 25 to February 2 to celebrate Groundhog Day.

Finally, both the Korean New Year Pouch and Chinese New Year Envelope (rough translations) will be available for purchase from February 10 to February 17.

As always, most of these items will be available under the “Seasonal Items” tab in the Nook Shopping menu once the update arrives later this week.
