Shin Megami Tensei V Has Sold Over 800,000 Copies

Just under two months ago, Shin Megami Tensei V made its debut on the Nintendo Switch. While the RPG series has often performed more modestly than its more accessible counterparts (such as Persona), this new entry has apparently hit it out of the park!

According to Atlus, Shin Megami Tensei V has already crossed a total of 800,000 copies sold so far – therefore surpassing its predecessor Shin Megami Tensei IV, which only sold around 600,000 copies in its lifetime.

SEGA (which owns Atlus) also shared during its recent financial briefing these sales figures for the game were “quite good”.

“At this point, the marketing of each title has been very successful and the sales status of “Shin Megami Tensei V”, which was just released recently has been quite good.”

We’ll report back as we hear more about the game’s sales performance in the future. Stay tuned!
