Famous Japanese leaker Ryokutya2089 (an actual leaker who has consistently gotten things right) has revealed there will be a “shocking scoop” of Yo-Kai Watch news revealed in the May 2018 issue of CoroCoro comic.

As the May 2018 issue releases in April, we will find out what this “shocking scoop” is sooner than expected. This is most likely a new game announcement for the Yo-Kai Watch series, which hasn’t received a new mainline title in 2 years (the last was Yo-Kai Watch 3 in 2016).

As the Nintendo 3DS is on its way out, Yo-Kai Watch will most likely have its next adventure on Nintendo Switch.
