Sonic Creator Yuji Naka Is Not Impressed With The Sonic 2019 Movie Design

Recently, a leaked render of Sonic The Hedgehog’s new design in the upcoming 2019 live action movie based on the series was released on to the internet which led to many fans being seriously upset!

Many were outraged on Twitter with some even trying to improve the design of the character to make it look more like the original!

Well now, it seems the original creator of Sonic The Hedgehog (who does not work at SEGA anymore) has some mixed opinions of the new design like many of the fans.

Check it out below:

The tweet roughly translates to:

I think that the image of Sonic’s movie design should come from the official film company, I think that this is a staged leaked, but when it comes to topics in a bad direction, it will be better to go Sonic’s IP. But it is not. There is also a possibility of a well fan made mockup, but I want him to be wearing gloves. It is shocking that his bare hands are white.

It seems that even the official creator of Sonic The Hedgehog himself is not happy with the design at all especially with Sonic not wearing his signature gloves as they are replaced with white fur!

He even went on to retweet a fan improvement which you can check out below:

The tweet roughly translates to:

I’m sure you’ll still forgive me for this balance.

If we have any more information to share we will cover it here at NintendoSoup so stay tuned for more!
