Sonic Creator Yuji Naka Wishes That The Movie Redesign’s Eyes Would Be Joined Together

Earlier today, Paramount finally released the brand new trailer for the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog movie that gave fans a first look at Sonic’s new redesign.

After this, the creator of Sonic, Yuji Naka, shared his opinions about the redesign on Twitter with him shared that he is glad Sonic is finally wearing gloves and wishes that Sonic’s eyes would be joined together.

Check out what he said below (translation by DualShockers):

This is the new trailer with Sonic’s new design. The design is much more Sonic-like now that he’s wearing gloves. However, his eyes still aren’t joined together, as expected. I can’t help but feel weird about that one point. But I’m looking forward to the movie’s release.

Yuji Naka also pointed out that the movie’s social media account has deleted all traces of the previous design and shared that he would like to see a special DVD feature of the Sonic The Hedgehog movie featuring the previous design.

Check out what he said below (translation by DualShockers):

Sonic’s new design for the movie is out. However, it seems they’re making it as if the old design didn’t exist, as the movie official account’s old tweets were deleted. I wanted to see a special DVD version of the movie which used the old design. Too bad.
