A group of Spanish fans of the popular Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series have started a campaign to persuade Capcom to localize Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy into Spanish.
When the first three games were originally released for Nintendo DS, they were playable in Spanish thanks to the work of Nintendo Spain. However things have changed as Capcom is handling publishing duties for this title and Nintendo Spain isn’t willing to pass over their localization work to Capcom.
Because of this standstill, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy isn’t playable in Spanish at all, and it’s notably absent from the upcoming language update that will add support for languages such as German, Korean, and Chinese.
Ace Attorney fans living in Spain are now organizing an effort to make their voice heard to Capcom. They request all those who support their efforts to tweet the hashtag #PhoenixWrightSPANISH on March 29, 2019 6pm local time in Spain:
We wish them all the best for their efforts. Hopefully Capcom will listen to the fans.
