The official Splatoon Twitter account has announced that a new update, Version 1.4.0, is on the way next week.

Version 1.4.0 is scheduled to be distributed from October 10, 2017 10am Japan Time. The update will improve the performance of some main weapons and gear powers. Some specials and sub weapons will also be balanced in the process.

In preparation for the update, server maintenance will be taking place between 9:50am to 11:30am Japan Time on October 10.

Another update which will improve the user-friendliness of the UI is planned to arrive in November 2017.
