Today we have some interesting news to share with you about Super Mario Maker 2’s sales in Japan.

Japanese users have started comparing weekly and lifetime sales of  the original Super Mario Maker for Wii U and Super Mario Maker 2 which released for Nintendo Switch in late June 2019.

From the 5th to 7th week, Super Mario Maker 2 is still selling between 35,000 to 38,000 copies, as compared to the 15,000 copies to 25,000 copies Super Mario Maker moved weekly.

As you can see the drop-off in Super Mario Maker 2 sales is pretty small as compared to Super Mario Maker, and thanks to that Super Mario Maker 2 is now selling 1.5 times faster than Super Mario Maker as of its 7th week.
