When Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition was released, it did not come packed with the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack that was present in the Wii U and Switch version. However, a free update has just been pushed out for the game, bringing the Super Mario Mash-Up pack to the New Nintendo 3DS players.

The update also brings Coarse Dirt and Stained Glass Blocks. Paid DLCs such as Cartoon, Fantasy texture pack, Campfire Tales, City Folk, and Town Folk Skin packs can be purchased with the new update as well.
