Super Nintendo World To Temporarily Close From April 25th Due To COVID-19 State Of Emergency

Universal Studios Japan has announced that Super Nintendo World will be temporarily closed starting from April 25th due to a state of emergency being declared in the Osaka prefecture.

As you might have probably guessed, the state of emergency was declared to combat the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the countermeasures, Universal Studios Japan was requested to close the park and have no attendees until the state of emergency is lifted. At the moment, the state of emergency is planned to lift on May 11th, but whether this will actually be the case remains to be seen.

The closure is particularly unfortunate for Super Nintendo World, which just had its grand opening a little over a month ago after multiple delays due to the same pandemic. We will be sure to report back with more details on the situation as it comes.
