Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Hero Banned From Competitive Tournaments In Southern Australia

Dragon Quest character Hero, who joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate earlier this month, has been banned from the competitive scene in Southern Australia.

Hero was banned from tournaments as the leaders of the Southern Australia competitive scene believe the fighter is too dependent on RNG (random number generator). They cited how RNG determines spell selection and critical hits as examples.

Thus, the organizers argued that this makes Hero an anti-competitive fighter that shouldn’t be allowed in tournaments, similar to how items are banned from competitive tournaments.
