During the latest Indie World presentation, Nintendo revealed that SUPERHOT will be releasing today on the Switch eShop for $24.99.
This game was previously heavily rumored to be coming to Switch so it’s nice to see an official confirmation.
Check out the trailer for the game and some details below:
As part of a super surprise announcement, SUPERHOT Team is incredibly proud to reveal that the multi-award-winning smash hit SUPERHOT is available right now on the Nintendo Switch!
The team loves Nintendo and wanted to make sure SUPERHOT on Switch was the best it could possibly be. They’ve gone whole hog in making sure the game runs smooth as butter on Nintendo’s console and went the extra mile with a few shiny new features.
Taking full advantage of the Switch has to offer, the biggest change awaiting both new and returning players is the addition of optional gyroscope aiming. These intuitive new mechanics allow an extreme degree of aiming precision not previously possible. Players can also hack, slash, shot and swipe with the Joy-Cons to shatter the Red Dudes with just a flick of their wrist. SUPERHOT on the go has never been so accessible or so fun.
All new adjustable gyroscope aiming
Optional motion controls
Fully optimized for the Switch
Silky smooth 60 FPS
Full support for docked and handheld play
“We love the Switch. Our team spent months and months and months making sure we did a great job bringing SUPERHOT to the most innovative video gaming system we’ve played in years. Full gyro controls make the game incredibly more immersive – you really feel like an action hero, you use your whole body to dodge hails of slow motion bullets. It’s a feeling we worked hard to evoke on PC and other consoles but SUPERHOT on Switch just takes it to an entirely new level.” – Tom Kaczmarczyk, Cofounder
SUPERHOT can be purchased on the eShop as of today for $24.99 USD
Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, SUPERHOT is the FPS in which time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It’s just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing weapons off fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets.
With its unique, stylized graphics SUPERHOT adds something new and disruptive to the FPS genre. SUPERHOT’s polished, minimalist visual language helps you focus on what’s most important – the fluidity of gameplay and cinematic beauty of the fight.
