Switch OLED Model Coming To Mainland China January 11th 2022
Nintendo has confirmed they will be officially launching the Switch OLED model in mainland China next week on January 11th.
This move comes a few years after the original Switch model was brought into mainland China back in 2019, and three months after the global launch of the OLED model last year. As noted by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad, this is a “fast turnaround” for a Switch family system between global and mainland China launch. Ahmad also took the opportunity to point out that the Switch is the fastest selling console in the country at the moment.
Tencent and Nintendo will officially release the Nintendo Switch OLED model in mainland China on Jan 11, 2022.
It will cost RMB 2599 and the digital store is region locked to China.

We have covered the Nintendo Switch in China since launch.
It is the fastest selling console in the country, both via official units and grey market imports.

Another point of note is that the Switch Lite has not received an official release in China, despite having launched much earlier than the OLED model. Although the reasons for this remain unknown, it could be that Nintendo wants to focus on the hybrid nature of the Switch, which they removed from the Switch Lite in favor of greater portability.
