Switch firmware update 6.1.0 is now available to download. The patch addresses one minor issue with Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions.

Improvements Included in Version 6.1.0 (Distributed 10/29/2018)

General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including:

• Resolved an issue where certain games don’t recognize a Nintendo Switch Online membership for a short time after purchase

Apparently, the patch also sneaks in a Joy-Con firmware update – despite no mention of it in the above notes. We have managed to test and confirm this for ourselves.
