Switch Version Of Atelier Lydie & Suelle Faced Shortages In Japan

Japanese website Gamer recently sat down with Koei Tecmo’s Keisuke Kikuchi to talk about the Switch version of Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, which launched in December 2017 in Japan.

When Atelier Lydie & Suelle first launched in Japan, it sold the worst on Switch as compared to PS4 and PS Vita. However, Keisuke Kikuchi said that by the end of 2017, physical copies of the game were hard to find at retailers due to shortages, thus forcing many customers to download the game from the Nintendo eShop instead.

As Atelier Lydie & Suelle is also the very first game in the Atelier series to launch on a Nintendo platform, Koei Tecmo placed an emphasis on making the game easy to understand, and steps to understand each component as pleasant as possible to the user.

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings launches March 27, 2018 and March 30 in North America and Europe respectively.
