Yuji Naka, a co-creator of the popular Sonic the Hedgehog series, has recently landed himself into hot water with the authorities in Japan.
Earlier this year, Sonic the Hedgehog co-creator Yuji Naka revealed that he had been ousted as the developer of Balan Wonderworld by Square Enix midway through the game’s development. While most of his ire has been aimed at the company so far, it appears that there is now some bad blood between Yuji Naka and another notable developer as well.
As reported previously, Sonic co-creator Yuji Naka had previously joined up with Square Enix to direct the 3D platformer Balan Wonderworld – which launched to somewhat mixed reviews. Well, it looks like the game might just be Yuji Naka’s last gaming project after all.
Last month, Balan Wonderworld made its anticipated debut on Switch and other platforms, although it was ultimately met with rather lukewarm reception from critics and players.
The latest platformer from Square Enix released just one week ago and has been panned by critics across the internet. But it seems like it’s found a haven…on Metacritic?
Following the release of Balan Wonderworld, Square Enix has issued a warning to all players about a bug in the game that could potentially trigger photo-sensitive epilepsy.
