The Pokemon Company has announced a special event that will be taking place across all Pokemon Center locations in Japan from February 24, 2018 to February 25.

The event is called “Team Rainbow Rocket Member Certification Test” and consists of a few stages. In the first stage, young Pokemon TCG players (elementary school age) will compete against Team Rainbow Rocket grunts (aka Pokemon Center staff) in a Pokemon TCG battle. Older players will compete against each other in an open tournament.

As a reward, participants will receive an original Team Rainbow Rocket certificate with their photo on it. Participants who have won once (elementary school age Team Rainbow Rocket grunt tournament) or thrice (open tournament) will receive a lottery ticket. After the tournament has concluded, up to 10 lucky winners will be picked from the lottery, and they will receive a chance to take a photo with one of the Team Rainbow Rocket bosses.

Battle Event – Opening time to 5pm (last chance to enter is 4:30pm)
