Nintendo has applied for two trademarks in Japan today, one for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and another for Mario vs Donkey Kong.
According to the filings, both trademarks apply for video game programs as well as smartphone applications. This could mean Nintendo has plans to bring Spirit Tracks and Mario vs Donkey Kong to smartphones in the future. It could also simply mean as a measure to stop counterfeit apps from appearing.
