The Nintendo Switch Online Version Of Yoshi’s Island Fixes An Annoying Glitch From The SNES Classic Edition

This week, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers were finally given access to 20 awesome SNES games. But how do they hold up compared to their counterparts in the SNES Classic Edition mini-console?

As it turns out, there are definitely improvements in some key areas! According to GameXplain’s analysis, the Nintendo Switch Online version of Yoshi’s Island actually fixes a noticeable glitch that plagued the SNES Classic Edition of the same game.

The glitch in question involved the Fuzzy enemies in some levels. When touching them in the SNES Classic version, the Fuzzy enemies would cause the background the glitch and vanish momentarily. This glitch is now nowhere to be seen in the Nintendo Switch Online version of the game – making it closer to the original 1995 release of the game.

You can check this out in more detail below.

Overall, it’s nice to see that Nintendo is cleaning up after its mistakes. A properly functioning version of Yoshi’s Story definitely makes the service a little more attractive!
