The Pokemon Company Hunting Down Pokemon Sword/Shield Leakers With New Lawsuit

Last month before the games were officially released, the internet was flooded with numerous leaks from Pokemon Sword And Shield.

Unsurprisingly, The Pokemon Company is not at all happy about the leaks, and has filed a lawsuit aiming to punish those involved for causing “irreparable injury” to the franchise. Specifically, the lawsuit targets those involved in leaking the Pokemon Sword And Shield Strategy Guide, which spoiled many unannounced Gigantamax Pokemon.

As reported by Forbes, The Pokemon Company has singled out four users from Discord as the main culprits. One of these users is believed to be the person who originally supplied the leaked images to the others. However, contrary to previous rumors, they have been unable to identify the real people behind the usernames.

In order to uncover the leakers’ true identities, The Pokemon Company has filed subpeonas to Discord and 4Chan to get them to help track down the culprits. However, the court has yet to make a decision on that matter. We will bring more details about the lawsuit should they become available.
