The Pokemon Company And Google Create “Pokemon Wave Hello” Demo For Pixel 4

The Pokemon Company and Google have teamed up to create a “Pokemon Wave Hello”, a Pokemon themed demo app for the upcoming Google Pixel 4 smartphone.

As reported by 9to5Google, the app serves as sort of a tech demo for the Pixel 4’s Soli Radar system. Specifically, the app utilizes Soli to detect users’ hand gestures as input, allowing them to play with five different Pokemon (Pikachu, Scorbunny, Sobble, Grookey, and Eevee) with a wave of their hands. That said, an option for manual inputs with the touchscreen is also available.

Currently, it is unknown if this demo app will ever be made publicly available for everyone to try. That said, the presence of Pokemon Sword And Shield‘s starters and logo suggests that the app is also meant to serve as promotional material for those games, which gives hope that it could be released to the public in the future. We will be sure to bring more updates as they come.
