The Pokemon Company has released the first information about its financial performance in 2020, revealing just how well the company and its products did that year.

The news was reported in the Japanese government’s Official Gazette and translated by consultant Dr. Serkan Toto. According to the article, The Pokemon Company’s sales amounted to around over 120 billion yen (US$1.1 billion) during the fiscal year ending on February 28th 2021, with an operating profit of 27.8 billion yen (US$254 million) and a net profit of 18.6 billion yen (US$170 million).

The Pokemon Company’s success can likely be attributed to a number of factors, such as the continuing popularity of Pokemon GO and the resurgence in interest for the Pokemon TCG. With regards to the games, they also released the Pokemon Sword And Shield Expansion Pass, although no new mainline game was released that year.
